On the sunlit deck of a wooden ship at sunrise, Captain Faith stands near the helm, one hand on an open Bible, smiling confidently toward the horizon.
I'm Captain Faith, a hero for God above. Let me tell you of David—a story of courage and love!
In a dew-sparkled meadow at dawn, the young shepherd boy sits on a rock, humming while cradling a small harp, fluffy sheep grazing peacefully around him under soft golden light.
David watched his sheep with care, humming songs and saying prayers. He thanked God for every dawn, knowing He was never gone.
On a dusty valley floor under harsh midday sun, the towering giant in bronze armor roars with arms spread wide, while frightened soldiers in metal helmets cower behind battered shields near distant rocks.
People trembled far and wide. Goliath the giant would not hide. He stomped and roared with fierce delight, and everyone shivered at his sight.
Before the camp’s tattered tents on a bright afternoon, the towering giant in bronze armor pounds his chest and laughs, as frightened soldiers in metal helmets peek from behind stacked crates.
Goliath shouted, “Who will fight?” But all the soldiers shied from sight. He laughed and beat his giant chest. Who could conquer such a pest?
Inside the dusty camp at mid-morning, the young shepherd boy places a reassuring hand on the shoulder of his older brothers in dusty armor, sunlight filtering through hanging canvas.
David saw his brothers fret. He said, “Don’t worry, don’t be upset!” With faith shining in his eyes, he planned to win the prize!
In the torch-lit throne hall at evening, the worried king in royal robes leans forward on a golden throne while the young shepherd boy smiles calmly before him, sling coiled at his waist.
The king said, “David, you are small! That giant’s tough and very tall.” But David smiled with honest pride. “With God, I’ll beat him on my side!”
Beside a clear brook under bright noon light, the young shepherd boy kneels on smooth pebbles, selecting five round stones with one hand while gripping his leather sling in the other.
He found five stones, smooth and neat, and gripped his sling—no need for retreat. With faith and courage shining bright, David marched into the light.
In the sun-bleached valley late afternoon, the towering giant in bronze armor sneers down from behind a huge spear, while the young shepherd boy stands several paces away, eyes closed in silent prayer.
Goliath sneered, “You’re just a boy!” He waved his spear, a scary toy. But David prayed, and did not fear, for he knew that God was near.
Still in the bright valley, the young shepherd boy steps forward with sling raised, shouting confidently toward the towering giant in bronze armor who grips his shield, dust swirling between them.
David called, “You’ve sword and shield. But I've got God—my greatest yield!” With trust in God his spirit soared, and forward David boldly roared!
Under a vivid blue sky, the young shepherd boy plants his feet on the valley floor and whirls the sling overhead, stone blurring in the air as sunlight flashes on its arc.
He swung his sling with all his might and aimed it true in perfect flight. The stone flew high toward the sky, while brave David did not cry.
In the same valley moments later, the stone strikes the towering giant in bronze armor between the eyes as he topples backward, while frightened soldiers in metal helmets watch in astonished silence.
The stone struck Goliath on the head! Down he crashed—“The giant’s dead!” The people cheered for David’s trust, for faith in God is always just.
At sunset on a grassy hillside, the young shepherd boy stands atop a rock holding his sling high, golden light illuminating his face as villagers and soldiers cheer below.
So trust in God, both big and small. Like David, you can stand tall! With faith and courage every day, GOD helps you in every way!
